Canadian Association for Research in Regenerative Medicine
The Canadian Association for Research in Regenerative Medicine (CARRM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the field of regenerative medicine. We accomplish this through two primary venues: 1) funding local research facilities, and 2) spreading awareness about the power of stem cell research and its therapeutic applications. Both of these goals go hand-in-hand: without the financial support, research centers can’t make life-saving discoveries and without the education, you won’t know about the cause you’re donating to. Inspired by the ground-breaking research taking place in facilities such as the McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine, the Schulich school of Medicine & Dentistry and the Sprott Centre for Stem Cell Research. CARRM believes in the untapped potential of regenerative medicine and its wide range of applications. From treating diabetes to potentially counteracting the degenerative effects of Alzheimer’s, regenerative medicine is not only the future of healthcare, but a symbol of hope, down to its fundamental unit–the stem cell.
